An hour of pure nostalgia !

A presentation given by myself (Elizabeth), or jointly with my husband Timothy, or by Timothy on his own. Each presentation will be tailor-made to fit the organisation we visit and the length of talk requested.

The general format will be similar to my Teddy Talk. There will be some historical/ product talk about a display we bring which could include dolls, meccano, trains, comics, craft work, Bayko, books, games, fashion, kitchenalia....... well a selection of all things 60s, including some working model toys.

Ever thought about tracing your family tree but don't know where to start?

Getting started - where to find your ancestors in records - find more than just names and dates - build a story of your ancestor's life.

Using BMD records, census etc , I will give hints and tips to help you trace relatives back to around 1842. I will tell you interesting stories of how I put together my findings so that I can research the lifestyles of my ancestors ... Family History – not just names and dates!. For WI and ladies groups I will aim to include stories about female ancestors (not necessarily mine).

Elizabeth's husband Timothy is a very keen Meccano enthusiast.

Timothy, together with his friend David Dalton, present a talk on the History of Meccano Ltd. Whilst primarily concentrating on the Meccano construction system, it does cover most of the products manufactured by Meccano.

Copiously illustrated by Powerpoint and a large display of Meccano and other Meccano Ltd products.
